Extended Practice Progress Check

I've decided I need to do a progress check on where I am with Extended Practice so far, I've decided I'm going to rewrite all my briefs and I need to think about what I'm really trying to get from them. I also need to add brief numbers to the briefs that I've already done and add new labels to my blog posts so far.

I've started to really reevaluate what I want to get from this module as I feel the briefs I've done so far are quite self indulgent and don't really have any real world applications other than the comic proposal. I need to bring my work in line with what I've been looking at within PPP and start to look at how I can build a portfolio of work that I can build a professional practice around which I don't feel I have done so far. Below is a list of briefs that I intend to do in the next semester, I'll write out proper briefs and elaborate on the ideas in the next couple of posts.

Collaborative Ex Machina prints
New Yorker Style Tv culture pieces
Secret 7"
Football Program redesigns
Folio Society style American Gods illustrations
The Last Guard comic (Big Kahuna)

Along with these new briefs there's still a lot of work from the last semester that I need to post that i've fallen behind on due to dissertation stress.

My Briefs will now be labeled on my blog as...

OUIL 603 Studio Brief 1 - Thought Bubble
OUIL 603 Studio Brief 2 - The Last Guard Comic Pitch
OUIL 603 Studio Brief 3 - Marvel Movie Posters
OUIL 603 Studio Brief 4 - Collaborative Football Program Redesigns (Earlier football drawings will be amalgamated into this brief.)
OUIL 603 Studio Brief 5 - Collaborative Ex Machina Prints
OUIL 603 Studio Brief 6 - Secret 7"
OUIL 603 Studio Brief 7 - New Yorker Style Tv Pieces
OUIL 603 Studio Brief 8 - Folio Society American Gods
OUIL 603 Studio Brief 9 - The Last guard Big Kahuna

Extended Practice Traditional Media

This is a version I did of the first page of the comic in traditional media I think this looks a lot better than the digital version and the line work is a lot stronger but I'm really starting to fall out of love with this brief and it's becoming less and less relevant to my practice so I may leave it at the original deliverables.
