Extended Practice Big Kahuna Possible illustrations

For my big Kahuna I decided to start of much in the same way I did for my COP project, I'm going to make a list of possible illustrations based around the subject of Adidas.

- Euro 2016, This was my first idea for an illustration and where my project originated from, I originally looked at this as an extension of studio brief 10 but I will be looking to focus on the adidas sponsored players and it's more about advertising than that brief. This will focus on Germany, Belgium, Spain and Wales.

- Bundesliga, as Adidas is a german brand and to add to the worldwide audience of the brief I thought it would be a good idea to focus on the German league for a set of boards, These illustrations will focus on Bayern Munich, Leverkusen and Schalke.

- Champions League, This is the biggest european competition and is also sponsored by Adidas. It would be silly not to produce boards for this, It features all of Europe's biggest clubs and almost all of the big adidas sponsored teams will be there. I will also potentially be looking at doing some europa league boards. The teams the CL boards will focus on will be Real Madrid, Chelsea, Man Utd, Bayern Munich, Juve, Benfica and Lyon.

- MLS, The MLS is completely sponsored by Adidas so it seems like the logical place to produce an illustration for and is also an emerging market as the MLS starts to become more popular in the US. I will be looking to capitalise on this momentum and the addition of some established stars such as Pirlo, Gerrard and Lampard. I will need to do more research for this brief though as my knowledge of the MLS isn't the best.

- Ace, X and the Messi, These are the current boot silos Adidas produce they each have their signature player, The Ace is Ozil which will more than likely change to Pogba when he signs an Adidas sponsorship. The X is Bale, Muller and Suarez whilst the Messi is specifically designed shockingly for Lionel Messi. These boots could work as a set of boards between the or within their own right.

- Women's football, I'd also like to do some boards focussed on Women's football as I think this is also an emerging market, Adidas also regularly releases exclusive colour ways for Women's boots and this could lead to some interesting work. I'd need to do some research into their sponsorship deals though as I don't know them as well as the men's sponsorships.

These are all football focused I feel it's important not to just focus on football as it's very much a European market and I need to look at how to extend the brief into something more internationally focussed.

- Yeezy Season 3, On Febuary 14th Kanye will release his new album and clothing line, This is becoming a major part of Adidas' street wear brand and I think this will make a great set of boards for a window display.

- Adidas Originals, This is a much more general set of boards as the Originals brand doesn't really have one look or sport it's aimed at but is probably the street wear arm of Adidas' brand. It also features collaborations with people such as Pharell and Rita Ora which could be interesting to produce work for.

- Ultra boost, I think this trainer has become the cornerstone of the revival of Adidas' brand, it started out as their flag ship running trainer but has also become a big part of their street wear due to people like Kanye West championing them. I think capturing the running and street side of these shoes could lead to some really interesting boards.

- NBA, The NBA is sponsored by Adidas and it produces all their kits like they do for the MLS, I do not know much about the NBA so I'll need to do a lot of research for this one I feel it will be very valuable in globalising this project as Basketball is huge in America and this will give me an inroad to the American audience.

- NFL, Like the NBA the NFL is a huge market in America I will be looking to take advantage of this and look at making a set of boards focussing on this, Like the NBA I'll need to do a lot of research to get my head around the sponsorships but I feel there is a lot of room to produce work.
